If you are in media and entertainment sector, it is advisable that you play to the “liberal” gallery and be in the good books of those who command narrative and valuable media coverage. For that, you must think like them, and that means you must think that cow is the biggest issue India is facing today. And you must not point out how the so-called liberals have their own vices.
Comedy group AIB seems to be following this rule. Earlier they had posted a picture of a woman wearing a cow mask, suggesting that now she was safe in India. Irony was that it came after a young cow was publicly slaughtered in Kerala by Youth Congress workers just to prove a political point. So much for being safe by being a cow!
Smart. Just don’t go to Kerala, else they’ll slaughter you in public to save secularism https://t.co/WeXFuHrYtJ

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsHow cow is just as much a wretched being as anyone else in this country was proven yet again last month when a pervert even raped one young cow in Uttarakhand. But for AIB, cows are still the most privileged being. Yesterday, they posted the following meme about special status of a cow in India:
Let us try to decode the above meme in an “illiberal” way; perhaps the police is giving thumbs up if you are a cow smuggler?
AIB incidentally deleted the meme soon from Facebook and Instagram, and for some reason decided not to share it on Twitter.
But various Twitter users who specialise in making funny memes though took notice. They later decided to create their own memes based on the template, with a considerably broader creative canvas.
A sample of how memes can go beyond cow and typical repetitive “liberal” thoughts if you care to look beyond:

There were many others too, which proved that comedy and humour can go beyond cow, if one cares to look beyond “liberal” stereotypes.
