Latest Rahul Gandhi gaffe: Congress was an NRI movement

Even as Rahul Gandhi tours the US embarrassing himself on an international platform, he continues to be an entertainment back home. Today, while addressing a gathering of NRIs at Times Square, Rahul Gandhi said that Congress was an NRI movemment.

He even went on to add that Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Ambedkar, Azad, Patel, all were NRIs, who went out of India, came back to India and used those ideas to transform India.

Twitter users tried to put logic to his baffling statements but were at loss of words.

That he undermined the efforts of thousands of Indians who participated in the freedom movement just shows the elitist tendencies Congress endorses.

Twitterati even tok a jibe at the “#KnowYourLegacy” quiz being run by official Twitter handle of Congress.

As Congress social media team said, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi indeed rocks.
