BJP spokesperson files complaint against editor of AAP leaning media outfit

BJP Delhi spokesperson Tajinder Bagga has filed a complaint against Rifat Jawaid, editor of AAP propaganda website Janta Ka Reporter, accusing Jawaid of posting a derogatory, concocted and defamatory tweet against Bagga. In a tweet posted on 23rd December, Jawaid called Bagga ‘molester and illiterate troll’

Jawaid was responding to a tweet by Bagga where Bagga was mocking Jawaid as Janta Ka Reporter, the pro AAP website, had tweeted that Lalu Prasad Yadav, who was convicted in the fodder scam, was acquitted.

Bagga had mocked Jawaid for being in a rush to acquit Lalu.

This led to Jawaid losing all sense of public decorum and took personal potshots at Bagga and called him a ‘roadside and illiterate troll’.

Following this altercation, Bagga asked whether Jawaid would use such derogatory terms for his father for pointing out his mistakes. Jawaid, in return, stood by his words and said that he would henceforth refer to Bagga as a molester and a criminal.

Accusing Jawaid of tarnishing his image, Bagga filed a complaint to Delhi Police Cyber Cell against Jawaid to file an FIR (first information report). In the complaint, Bagga has also stated that he, though his lawyer Alakh Alok Srivastav, is in process of filing a civil and criminal defamation case against Jawaid.

The civil and criminal case will be filed against Jawaid at Patiala House Court on 2nd January, 2018 when the courts reopen after vacation.
