People go crazy after Congress leader claims Modi became fair after eating imported mushrooms

Alpesh Thakor a prominent OBC youth leader who recently joined Congress, was expected to add fresh blood and new caste dynamism to the party. Things though don’t seem to be going according to plan as reports have claimed that he isn’t bringing many new voter to the party.

What he does seem to be bringing on board is, banter and comedy. Today he created quite a flutter on social media after news report quoted him as claiming that PM Modi became fair after eating imported mushrooms:

He also claimed that Modi eats 5 mushrooms per day which costs a whooping Rs 80,000 per mushroom.

Most people found his claims absurd to say the least and possibly in order to shrug off the afternoon blues, decided to crack hilarious jokes:

After objectively looking at Thakor’s statement, its seems that there is an interesting back story to this whole affair.

Turns out that the rumour first might have emerged in a Gujarati newspaper and was then mainstreamed by a India Today’s Tez TV report, which claimed that mushroom was the reason behind PM Modi’s fitness.

Later a Bhaskar report claimed that Modi is able to work 16-18 hours a day because he eats Mushrooms from Himachal Pradesh on a daily basis. This report claimed that these mushrooms cost about Rs 30,000 per Kg.

Thakor now seems to have decided to add further spice to this affair by claiming that not only did mushrooms make Modi fair, they also were imported and cost a whooping Rs 80,000 per piece.

Going at this rate, it won’t be surprising to see some politician claim that Modi is promoting India’s space program so that he can grow mushrooms in space, eat them and thereby solidify his grip over power.
