Samajwadi Party leader slammed for condoning Pakistan’s inhuman treatment of Kulbhushan Jadhav and kin

On Tuesday it was reported how Pakistan had meted out an inhuman treatment to Kulbhushan Jadhav’s wife and mother while they tried to meet their kin, who is confined by Pakistan over allegations of him being an Indian spy. The Ministry of External Affairs in a press release detailed the inhuman treatment of Jadhav’s family members which included asking them to remove their bindi, sindoor and bangles.

As a result of this, many Indians were outraged by Pakistan’s antics, but appears Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal was not one of them. Agarwal today stirred up a major controversy by condoning the inhuman treatment which was meted out to Jadhav and his kin by Pakistan:

In the ANI video, Agarwal when asked about the insult meted out to Kulbhushan Jadhav’s family, is heard saying that it is an internal policy matter of Pakistan. He further claimed that if Pakistan considers Jadhav to be a terrorist then they can treat him accordingly, and India should also treat terrorists in a similar way.

Such a statement about an Indian citizen, who by various accounts has been framed by Pakistan, angered a lot of people:

Even political leaders slammed Naresh Agarwal’s statement:

Naresh Agarwal in the past too has managed to create a controversy via his outspoken demeanour.

It was reported how he had in July linked various Hindu gods and goddesses like Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman with alcohol. He was also alleged to be involved in a sex racket and had condoned Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad’s assault of Air India official. During the run up to the Lok Sabha he had stated that a tea seller could never become a good Prime Minister.
