Yesterday, late judge BH Loya’s 21 years old son, Anuj Loya held an emotional press conference, where he appealed to the NGOs, politicians and lawyers to stop harassing him and his family. He said that he had no suspicion about any foul play in the the death of his father.
But far from empathizing with the family that has been struggling to come to terms with the incident, a new controversy has broken out.
BH Loya, who was the special Central Bureau of Investigation judge presiding over the trial of BJP President Amit Shah and various top cops of Gujarat in the alleged fake encounter of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and his wife Kauser Bi, had died 3 years back in Nagpur, at the age of 48. Suddenly last year there were claims that his death was not natural — something which his son denied in the press conference.
However, some journalists and politicians alike were quick to jump the gun and cast aspersions that BJP President Amit Shah ‘arranged’ the press conference and that Loya family is saying this under pressure from the BJP.
A Newslaundry columnist, who has been known for spreading bigotry and propaganda, was quick to accuse Amit Shah of ‘arranging’ the press conference. He claimed that this fact was revealed during the press conference itself.
So @AmitShah has exposed himself in Judge Loya murder case.
Anuj Loya, Judge’s son held a PC & said the family doesn’t suspect any foul play now & believes that his death was natural.
Please listen to this short clip in which it’s admitted that Amit Shah arranged this PC. pic.twitter.com/S4vLRWhupE

He then showed ’empathy’ towards judge Loya’s son for having to deal with people who ‘most probably killed his father’.
My heart goes out to the 21 yr old Anuj Loya who is saying all that is being fed to him. Is it due to fear or pressure Whatever it is, must be scary.
He’s dealing with the people who most probably killed his Dad!

Former member of Congress’ ‘digital communications team’, Gaurav Pandhi, who has previously taken to spreading morphed images, too accused Amit Shah for ‘organising’ the presser.
Loya’s former colleague accidentally reveals, the PC (of Loya’s son) was organized by Amit Shah himself. If so, it needs to be investigated if Amit Shah is pressurizing Loya’s son. His family raised the doubts on Loya’s death earlier; high possibility of shah pressurizing them! pic.twitter.com/xVDWm2VMF3

Supreme Court Lawyer and politician Prashant Bhushan, who too has found spreading propaganda on Twitter, also claimed that the press conference was organised by Amit Shah.
Just see the body language of Anuj Loya in this PC& the aggressiveness of his handlers& judge for yourself if he is under pressure now. His father & aunt who raised Qs on video about suspicious death not with him. One handler says PC arranged by Amit Shah!https://t.co/ouiVPvs1rg

Discredited IPS officer, Sanjiv Bhatt, who spends his time spreading muck on social media, copied Bhushan’s tweet as if a ‘WhatsApp group’ was activated to spread the agenda.
Just see the body language of Anuj Loya in this PC and the aggressiveness of his handlers. You can judge for yourself whether he’s under pressure or not. Family members who had raised the questions were conspicuously absent. One handler even says the PC was arranged by Amit Shah! https://t.co/lPkhiLhmC3

However, while the above were busy spreading this narrative, some people from the same left-liberal cabal had a different view. A journalist from TheWire and even editor of JantaKaReporter, which often report fake news, countered these claims:
He said Ameet sir, not Amit Shah. ??♀️
Ameet Naik is Anuj Loya’s lawyer. Stop spreading false rumours!https://t.co/mswlo9vA1m pic.twitter.com/ymjqooj1Nr

Lot of social media messages claiming that Judge Loya’s friend thanked Amit Shah for Sunday’s press conference. Wrong. He thanked Amit sir. Amit Naik is family’s lawyer, who was present at the press conference. This is how lies become facts! Be careful. https://t.co/Kk9XB8vNMS

Anti-BJP journalist Abhisar Sharma too was cautious about this:
@AmitShah is NOT a minister ..I assume what Katake wanted to say was ..Mister Amit SIR….NOT Minister Amit SHAH …And even my channel does not say Amit Shah https://t.co/GjO3hmh34E
— Abhisar Sharma (@abhisar_sharma) January 15, 2018
Others too called out the spin of likes of Prashant Bhushan:
Stop spreading lies for your shameless propaganda @pbhushan1
He said ‘Mr Ameet Sir’ referring to Loya family’s lawyer ‘Ameet Naik’, not Amit Shah pic.twitter.com/CbVHEoUe3z

When the abusive Newslaundry columnist, whose propaganda was re-tweeted by AAP chief and Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, was presented with facts, he showed his arrogance by refusing to accept correction.
There’s no apology to be issued. To me and my ears it’s still apparent that he said, ‘Mr. Amit Shah’ and not ‘Mr. Ameet Sir’.
If he indeed meant the latter, he should come out and issue a clarification. I’ll tweet his clarification without any qualms.

So what is the truth? If you hear the video, it is quite clear that one of the representative nods in the direction of Ameet Naik, the lawyer, who is sitting on his right and says “We thank Mr. Ameet sir for the support”. A representative thanking his lawyer for the support was made out to be him thanking BJP national president for ‘arranging’ the press briefing. Because, clearly, how can there be two people with the same first name, right?
This goes out to show how the propaganda tools were activated last evening, to discredit Anuj Loya, just because what he had to say about his father’s death didn’t suit the ‘agenda’. Very soon this clip will become viral on social media, and a new lie will propagate.
