Security forces have eliminated the terrorists who had taken refuge in a building in Khanmoh area in Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir after attacking BJP leader Anwar Khan, who escaped unhurt.

On Wednesday, three terrorists fired upon Anwar Khan’s security cover, injuring Khan’s PSO, constable Bilal Ahmad, who is now stable. According to reports, the terrorist tried to snatch the rifles from the security officers, but couldn’t manage. When the guards retaliated and foiled their attempt to attack Khan, they fled and took refuge in the building.
According to police, the slain terrorists have been identified as Rasiq Nabi Bhat of Tral and Shabir Ahmad of Awantipora. Incriminating materials including weapon and ammunition have been recovered as well. Currently, the area is being searched for a reported third terrorist. According to police records, the slain terrorists had joined militancy last year.
