As soon as the verdict of blackbuck hunting case of Salman Khan was out, some Bollywood film journalists came out in support of Salman Khan. A film journalist named Faridoon Shahryar initially tweeted that the actor was convicted because of his last name. However, he deleted it soon after.
Dear @iFaridoon, going by your words, I might as well say that maybe Salman “Khan” ran his SUV over those people on the footpath because of his surname, like ISIS terrorists did in France. pic.twitter.com/8k31fTOXmx

Faridoon is the same who had famously tweeted a fake news that Aamir Khan is going to adopt two villages in drought hit Maharashtra in 2016 which was later refuted by Aamir Khan. Faridoon then continued to tweet his displeasure with the verdict and compared it with other politicians who were acquitted in other cases.
Controversial Congress politician Salman Nizami jumped into the fray and claimed that Salman was being punished in Blackbuck case but Yogi Adityanath was letting off criminals in Uttar Pradesh and those ‘responsible’ for Godhra riots were free.
Sumit Kadel, a film trade analyst and critic felt that Salman had suffered enough by visiting courts for 20 years , so hence he must be let off.
Senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, who regularly likes to defend convicted criminals, too, came out in support of Khan.
