Kejriwal apologised in defamation cases as he was told he would surely go to jail : Kumar Vishvas

Rebel AAP leader Kumar Vishvas on Monday sent a poetic apology letter to BJP leader Arun Jaitley, to try and make him withdraw the defamation case filed by the latter. Vishvas was successful in his endeavour as Jaitley accepted the apology as a result of which the case was deposed off by the Delhi High Court.

This though might not be the biggest highlight in this matter, as in the said apology letter Vishvas has sensationally claimed that Kejriwal apologised in defamation cases after he was told that he would surely go to jail if his allegations were proven to be false.

In the said letter Vishvas is seen claiming that despite being warned against making allegations without any legal basis for winning elections, Kejriwal continued to hurl his allegations  as if they were the gospel truth.

But as per Vishvas when the defamation cases started getting heard by the courts on a day-to-day basis, Kejriwal was told by legal experts that he would surely be jailed if his allegations are proven false.

Thus Vishvas claimed that, even if he was jailed for a few days in the scores of defamation cases, he would have to relinquish his Delhi Chief Minister post. Hence as claimed, Kejriwal felt that if he indeed was jailed, he would have to hand over the CM seat to his deputy Manish Sisodia. The letter further alleged that if it happened, Sisodia won’t hand the CM seat back to Kejriwal when the latter got out of jail.

Thus Vishvas claims that Kejriwal first tried to compromise with the plaintiffs and when that didn’t work out, started to send written apologies.

Besides this explosive claim, amongst various other things Kejriwal was called a coward and a liar by Vishvas, who lamented how so many party workers carried out protests by believing Kejriwal’s allegations.

Vishvas also accused Kejriwal of not cooperating with his lawyer in the matter, by refusing to give them the case papers, or divulge the names of the individuals who provided Kejriwal the said “proofs” he used to attack various politicians. He also thus question as to who those individuals were, who supplied Kejriwal with the evidence to enable his mud-slinging.

It might be interesting to note hear that Vishvas and Kejriwal haven’t seen eye-to-eye for a long time. This includes visible soreness in the form of Vishvas calling the Delhi CM a habitual liar and had also exposed the AAP supremo on the matter of the surgical strikes.
