Subramanian Swamy lashes out at Rahul Gandhi over his Pakistan comment

As reported by ANI, senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy castigated Rahul Gandhi for comparing the Karnataka political turmoil with the state of Pakistan.

Swamy said that comparing the situation with the “third-rate country” is an insult. “Karnataka is in our hand, that’s why they (Congress) are scared. They have lost their balance,” he said. He has strongly condemned Rahul Gandhi’s act saying that attacking the country is a mortifying gesture on his part and that he needs a mental checkup.

Addressing a rally in Raipur, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, who, almost after 36 hours broke his silence, and made a sweltering attack on BJP compared the prevailing political atmosphere in the country to that in Pakistan. In his first public comment after the Karnataka election (which saw the Congress slip to a poor second place after the BJP), Gandhi chose to attack the judiciary, portraying it as a puppet in the BJP’s hands. “The BJP is scaring the judges of the Supreme Court. This happens when there’s a dictatorship,” the Congress chief said.

Subramanian Swamy is not the only one who damned Rahul Gandhi for making such disparaging comments. BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad has said that they were was ‘unacceptable and irresponsible.’ Speaking to Times Now, senior BJP leader and Union Law minister said Congress President has “crossed the limit of decency in his desperation after failing to rob the mandate” and nothing better is expected of him. He reminded Congress President that respecting the mandate (in an election) was part of the democratic process.

Earlier, BJP leader and Chhattisgarh’s Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal attacked Rahul Gandhi for likening the situation in India to Pakistan, saying the Congress chief has insulted the people of the country by making such a comparison.

Rahul Gandhi tweeting about BJP’s formation of the government despite failing to secure requisite numbers said the BJP has made a “mockery of our constitution.” He said, “while BJP celebrates its hollow victory, India will mourn the defeat of democracy.” The BJP’s irrational insistence that it will form a Govt. in Karnataka, even though it clearly doesn’t have the numbers, is to make a mockery of our Constitution.

This morning, while the BJP celebrates its hollow victory, India will mourn the defeat of democracy.

This was condemned by many on social media and immediately countered by a thrashing comment by BJP President Amit Shah.

With the high octane Karnataka elections drama being unfolded Congress President Rahul Gandhi has always got his fifteen minutes of fame, if not for his strategies, definitely for his fatuousness. While the results were pouring in, Twitter users had a field day with memes, jokes and sarcastic tweets.

Rahul Gandhi due to his lust for power and his incompetence has always been the cardinal focus of all social media addicts, who have time and again mocked him for his ludicrous comments.
