Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal has created an army of crass zombies who think they’re being disruptive in the Indian political landscape when they’re actually just being a nuisance. On 13th June protest march against the Delhi LG Anil Baijal carried out by Aam Aadmi Party supporters, a poster had reportedly been spotted which read as an ‘appeal’ by all Delhi citizens.
‘Delhi demands before Atal, take away Anil’. The poster refers to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister of India, whose ailing health is being used by politicians like Congress President Rahul Gandhi to score political points. Reaching a new low in politics, AAP demanded ‘dismissal’ of Anil before ‘dismissal’ of Atal, using the term ‘dismissal’ as a creative euphemism. However, AAP seems to have distanced itself from the poster claiming the poster was not by them and got the poster removed.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, health minister Satyendra Jain and transport minister Gopal Rai have been camping inside Delhi LG Anil Baijal’s residence at Raj Bhavan demanding LG issues written orders to get IAS officers, who are not even on strike, to get back to work from the strike. Earlier this year, in February, Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash had accused that AAP MLAs had assaulted him and threatened him with false cases in front of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. The IAS Association took a strong stand against the incident and condemned it. The Association wrote that while they will continue to work, they will register their protest against the incident by wearing a black badge. In fact, on 11th June as well, the IAS Association had released a statement which asserted that there has been no strike and they have been working all these months, sometimes, even on holidays.
This is not the first time the Delhi LG has faced such insensitivity from people associated with the Aam Aadmi Party. In May, following his nephew Vinay Bansal’s arrest in connection to PWD scam, Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal took to Twitter to hit out on the Delhi LG in what appeared to be a veiled threat to ‘stop harassing’ her widowed sister. Arvind Kejriwal, too, has left no stone unturned when it comes to lowering bars of decency, from dishing out defamatory statements to allegedly assaulting his chief secretary.
