In India, slowly, carefully and steadily, a new labelling is being attached to Hindus, and why not? ‘Hindu Terrorism’bogey couldn’t take off but desi Left’s obligation to its paymasters remains the same as in the west. This new label with its category and built up association with crimes will come to future use in India.
We often underrate the power of language and the subtle labelling it may ensue by people who know how to use it. As per linguist Benjamin Whorf’s hypothesis, ‘the words we use to describe what we see aren’t just idle placeholders–they actually determine what we see’. That language used has a profound impact on the user’s morality, is already an established fact.
‘Labelling’ thus is a very important tool of warfare. Seldom observed labels like ‘3rd world countries’, attaching words like progressive and liberal only with Left and their causes, calling cultural initiatives as orthodox and regressive, are nothing but smart labelling, powerful enough to alter the discourse.
Admirably to this point, the Left has mastered this art. Only recently Trump gate crashed by fashioning a category of linguistic kill shots and used them to his advantage.
Now, it’s the turn of Indian right to quickly comprehend and catch up to this phenomenon. We have a new linguistic missile to dodge and it’s called ‘Incels’.
Incels stand for a self-identified group of people who ‘involuntarily’ celibate i.e. unable to find a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one. It doesn’t matter whether this category exists or not but it is surely becoming a hot keyword/label among the Left. Look at the Wikipedia curated and locked-for-editing page for definition of Incels. So as per them, they are already a massive online subculture, ‘mostly white, male, and heterosexual’ and a part of ‘the online male supremacist ecosystem’. Left hit the narrative jackpot on weaponising this labelling when a so-called ‘Incel’ was held responsible for a deadly attack in Toronto where 10 people died.
So the game of labelling on Incels goes like this. Due to obvious political and Circle Of Influence reasons, Left feels obliged to obliterate any criticism Jihadi violence may generate. Obfuscation and false equivalence are the techniques deployed. American mass shootings, though very very condemnable and deplorable, are not terrorism. ‘Incels’ come handy here. These are exclusively defined ‘white nationalists’ and every other thing that Left has labelled them and what Hillary famously termed as ‘basket of deplorables’. This exclusive category will now be blamed to have a motive, message and will meet the textbook definition of terrorism.
I totally admire Shivam Vij (@DilliDurAst) for his sharp acumen, best suited for devious Left-wing politics in India. His Kafila, Scroll, HuffPost and many other contributions, establish this fact. His advice to all non-BJP parties shows that he is an expert in his area of furthering Left causes in India.
Now he’s a front-runner in the Incel labelling on Hindus.

In my previous article, I tried to explain the step-by-step process of Left to choke right-wing voices (for the want of a better phrase) on social media. Going by the same pattern, which operates for Left in a systematic way all-round the word, I am considering this labelling as a dog whistle for all Left ecosystem to jump upon and remove ‘hindutva warrior’ sex to simple ‘Incel’ and voila! An entirely new category is created with Hindus as default.
Left has fired a linguistic missile and Hindus have to dodge it.
