Part of tent collapses during PM Modi’s speech, PM instructs SPG to help, meets the injured in hospital

Several people were reportedly injured when a part of the tent erected for the public at a rally being addressed by PM Narendra Modi collapsed today at Midnapore. According to reports, the PM, seeing the incident, instructed the SPG assigned to his security detail to intervene and help the people.

According to reports, the injured were taken to the Midnapore medical college and hospital. After his speech, PM Modi even visited the injured people in the hospital to check and inquire about injured people. He was seen talking to the patients and reassuring them. The tent reportedly gave away because of overcrowding at the venue. The PM was addressing a gathering of thousands of people in the Kisan Kalyan Rally in West Bengal’s Paschim Midnapore district.
