Jyotiraditya Scindia asks Muslim woman leader to step down from stage during press conference

A new video has been surfaced which could embarrass the Congress party ahead of the state elections in Madhya Pradesh. In a viral video, it is seen that Madhya Pradesh Congress campaigning committee chief Jyotiraditya Scindia seems to be unhappy about a woman Congress member sharing the stage with him.

The senior Congress leader of Madhya Pradesh Jyotiraditya Scindia was about to address a press conference in Ujjain. However, before the commencement of the conference, Congress spokesman Noori Khan was also seen sitting next to the scion. Scindia then pointed fingers at Noori Khan and asked her to step down from the stage. Noori Khan had to follow the order of the senior Congress leader and politely stepped down from the stage.

The other Congress leaders like Ujjain Congress president Mahesh Soni, senior leader Rajvardhan Singh Dattigao and former MLA Rajendra Bharati were are also seen sharing the stage with the Scindia.

Noori Khan, a Congress leader and also the spokesperson of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, is known in the state for holding a fast-unto-death agitation in support of the purification of River Shipra in Ujjain.

The incident seems to be from July 28th 2018 when Jyotiraditya Scindia had held a press conference in Ujjain.

AAP’s Alka Lamba, who had laughed insensitively during a rescue operation and had spread lies about a rape in Gujarat also hit out at Scindia for disrespecting a woman.

Jyothiraditya Scindia recently had stoked a controversy after he was caught throwing away a coconut, which incidentally was presented to him by his party workers, while he was campaigning for the upcoming elections in the state. It was reported that the coconut was a ‘Pooja Prasad’ or offering to the god during the Pooja. Rahul Gandhi, who claims himself to be a ‘Janeu-dhari’ Hindu and a champion of women empowerment is yet to comment on either of these incidents.

The Congress in the Madhya Pradesh seems to be a divided house, as the infighting in the party over the leadership over the state unit continues. There is reportedly a sense of uneasiness between the two factions, one led by the Madhya Pradesh Congress Chief Kamal Nath and other by Jyothiraditya Scindia, who was made the state campaigning chief by Rahul Gandhi. Recently, a poster war had been erupted between both the factions, each claiming their leaders to be the next Chief Minister of the state.
