The Congress party had not yet recovered from its President’s hug-and-wink gimmick inside the Parliament which was resoundingly condemned by everyone across the political spectrum as extremely juvenile and immature. But Rahul Gandhi has gone ahead and done it again. He was caught on camera winking at Sachin Pilot at a rally just before the latter went ahead and hugged AICC general secretary and former chief minister Ashok Gehlot on the stage.
Rahul Gandhi was accused of disrespecting the National Anthem at the same rally by the National IT in charge of BJP, Amit Malviya, where the Congress President could be seen joking while the National Anthem was being sung.
Yesterday, in Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi seen joking even while national anthem was being sung. He doesn’t respect any national institutions, symbols or protocols… Shame! #RahulInsultsNationalAnthem pic.twitter.com/z1frEz5tHE

Rahul Gandhi has committed several goof-ups in recent times. Recently, at a rally, he criticized the government for not buying cellphones from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). He suffered severe mockery from Twitter users as well as BJP leaders over his latest gaffe.
With the state assembly elections coming up in Rajasthan, the noises coming from the Rajasthan unit of the Congress party haven’t been all too positive despite what Rahul Gandhi’s jocular demeanour might suggest. There are reports of rifts within the party over its Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming elections. Amidst all this, the Congress’ prime ministerial candidate for 2019 does not really seem to be helping the party with his juvenile behaviour.
