An eight-year-old boy Azeem died in a scuffle over a playground in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar outside a madrasa on Thursday.
As per reports, the incident took place yesterday morning when two groups of children between the age 8 to 12 years, from different communities, got into a fight where the victim Azeem lost his consciousness after he was pushed and hit his head on a motorcycle. Four minors, aged 10 to 12 years, have reportedly been apprehended by the police.
However, the unfortunate incident has been given a communal twist by the usual suspects, terming the death as ‘lynching’ and ‘hate crime’.
Hate crimes against Muslims on the rise in India. In a shocking incident, a 7½ yr old boy Azeem has been lynched in Malviya Nagar area of the posh South Delhi. God will never forgive @narendramodi for inciting such frenzy and hate among people!! https://t.co/lb8kJurVRc

This was a child. Could have been our child. This is what hate does. It dehumanises us to such an extent that we become monsters. https://t.co/1CXyeVANi6

Heartbreak in our city. Rationalists, people in proximity to cows, now 8 year old Azeem – when will the fundamentalists have enough scalps in their belt?
When will they come for you. https://t.co/Jq0eaFghzs— Karuna Nundy (@karunanundy) October 26, 2018
8 year old lynched, Hate crime is becoming rampant in India
Students and madrasa officials say that the locals have regularly been disturbing them. Empty whiskey bottles are thrown inside the madrasa-cum-mosque premises. https://t.co/QjLHoBrjEU

8-Year-Old Madrasa Student Lynched In Delhi
Most horrible crime of hate. Those who shed tears for divorced Muslim women, would they speak up for this child? He is also a Son of India.

Siddiqui even went on to say that the fact that the young boy had died in a scuffle is a ‘cover-up’ and that the elders ‘instigated’ the young children to kill Azeem.
There is a coverup. He didn’t die of a simple push by another boy. He was brutally beaten up. Elders instigated and supported this “ lesson teaching” to these poor innocent children. https://t.co/uueGT402p2

Some even added ‘details’ like the boy was dragged from his school and beaten to death.
India: An 8-year-old Muslim student was dragged from his school and beaten to death in what is being treated as a hate crime.https://t.co/Q17ufdD0WX

OpIndia reached out to Malviya Nagar Police Station where the police confirmed that it was not a case of lynching. Malviya Nagar SHO also confirmed that it was neither a hate crime nor does it have any communal angle to it. Currently, the investigation is on.
As per reports, the situation in that area is usually tensed as the said land is disputed as the madrasa claims it as its own while the residents of the nearby JJ cluster believe it is a public land.
The unfortunate incident was a result of a playground scuffle between children. While on one hand, we saw “student leader” blame PM Narendra Modi insinuating that it was Modi who had vitiated the atmosphere because of which ‘Muslims are being lynched’, on the other, we saw mythical spins like ‘elders instigating’ the lynching and how this “is being treated as a hate crime”.
The liberals have long trivialised words like “hate crime” and “lynching” to suit their own agenda and narrative of communal hatred. However, using a bunch of children to further their agenda is a new low that the leftists have managed to achieve.
