Unmasking Pakistan’s close nexus with the Khalistani’s, a pro-Khalistani organisation of Toronto, Canada has reportedly honoured Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and their Army Chief, General Bajwa for opening the Kartarpur Corridor.
In an event, titled, ‘An Evening of Honour and Dignity’, Sukhminder Singh Hansara, a known Khalistani activist based in Canada, along with several other Khalistani supporters, felicitated the Pakistan government and their Army Chief, by presenting a gold-plated certificate to Consulate General of Pakistan Imran Ahmad Siddiqui. The event was held in Brampton in Canada.
While honouring and praising the Pakistan government, Sukhminder Singh Hansara said, “I was honoured to speak at the event and present [gold-plated certificate] to a most progressive thinking politician PM Imran Khan.”
He further went on to criticise the Indian government by saying, “The gesture shown by them has become an example. We want to recognise Canada’s consulate offers a cooler breeze to Sikhs than Indian consulate in Canada. I want to go on record.”
The event, where the Kalistani organisation has gone on to praise the Pakistan Government and honour them, exposes the endearment Pakistan has for the Khalistani terrorists and vice versa.
Another recent incident had clearly exposed the closeness shared between the Pakistani government and the pro-Khalistan extremists based in the West. It was reported that the US-based pro-Khalistani organisation, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), allegedly funded and aided by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had written to Pakistan PM Imran Khan asking him to “politically support Referendum 2020 movement to liberate Punjab” so that Islamabad can avenge “1971 fall of Dhaka”.
The Sikhs for Justice, led by Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, had organised a gathering of Khalistani separatists at Trafalgar Square in London earlier this year, calling it the ‘Referendum 2020’, an anti-India campaign which the organisation tried to peddle across the globe.
The Pakistan governments proximity with the Khalistani terrorists were further exposed when during the groundbreaking ceremony Pakistan’s Prime Minister was seen with Khalistani terrorist Gopal Chawla.
In fact, the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, while castigating SJF’s chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu for soliciting Pakistan’s support to ‘liberate’ Punjab from India, had stated that it has exposed the evil nexus between the Pakistan army and the SFJ. He had reiterated that Pakistan was conspiring with the Khalistan and using Kartarpur to peddle its anti-India agenda.
Captain Amarinder Singh has steadfastly maintained his stance on Kartarpur Corridor from the beginning. He had declined the invitation for the Kartarpur groundbreaking ceremony citing Pakistan’s ill-intentions behind the initiative.
Recently, Army Chief Bipin Rawat has also stated that some external forces are attempting to revive the Khalistani insurgency in Punjab.
