So this video cropped up in my Facebook feed the other day:
This is surprising. While liberals have roundly criticized the cost of the Statue of Unity and occasionally tried to demean Sardar Patel himself, I had not yet seen a liberal using an expletive for the Iron Man of India.
Much less the F**** word which is used here.
How could someone hope to get away with such language for a national icon as great as Sardar Patel?
That’s when I realized that the video had been posted on the channel “Telesur English” by this Indian liberal.
The video has been posted to Youtube as well.
Now if you have never heard of the channel Telesur English, that’s for good reason. Telesur is a giant media network jointly owned by five governments in Latin America and watched by close to 500 million people. Yes, Telesur is often called the “Latin American CNN.”
Now that we have an idea of the reach of Telesur, let us find out what these 500 million people are hearing about the Statue of Unity. What is said next in the video leaves no room for doubt that this is an attack on the character of Sardar Patel himself, not just the cost of building the statue. Here it is:
“ So if your government has to spend $430 million, what would you want them to spend it on? Education … or a giant f*cking statue of a right wing bigot? ”
Did you hear that? They are calling Sardar Patel a “right wing bigot”. And that’s not all, listen to how they describe the character of our Iron Man:
“Patel was instrumental in annexing states which did not want to be a part of India and after annexing a Muslim ruled state, he said, ‘Hindus of Hyderabad became free after many years of bondage and a big tumor was removed from the stomach of India.’”
Hear that? Millions of viewers in Latin America are getting this horrible warped picture of India and our history. All thanks to Indian liberals.
Now you may ask how it matters if someone in distant Latin America hears this twisted version of Indian history. This is where we might underestimate the evil genius of Indian liberalism and their strategic investments in a global anti-India narrative.
You see as India becomes a global economic superpower, our companies, our investors, our professionals will go everywhere. We will have customers from all over the world. Today India might not have significant business interests in Latin America, but what about a decade from now?
Indian liberals understand this. So they are reaching out far in advance to these places and salting the earth.
Remember that Latin American audience would know almost nothing about India. This twisted “information” about India forcibly annexing “Muslim ruled states” to “liberate Hindus” might be the only thing these people have ever heard about India’s political history.
And we all know that first impressions are often the last impressions.
A decade later when our businesses and professionals arrive in Latin America, they would be confronted with a populace that thinks we are a bigoted, xenophobic country.
This is exactly what the liberals want. They want to stop India’s march towards greatness.
Their plan is almost perfect. We Indians don’t watch Latin American media so we don’t know what liberals are up to. But quietly and diligently and behind our backs, liberals are working hard to build an anti-India narrative three continents away. We’ll find out only a decade too late, when we go to do business over there and discover that the common people are already biased against us.
So how badly do liberals want to hurt India? How far would they go in their hatred and hypocrisy?
The irony is particularly thick in this video because it’s posted by Telesur. I already told you that five governments jointly own Telesur. But did you know that the No. 1 sponsor of Telesur is the government of Venezuela?
Yes, that’s the same Venezuela where inflation is at 1 lakh per cent. The same Venezuela whose corrupt government has reduced the population to starvation. Seen here on this bridge is the daily mad rush of Venezuelans seeking asylum in Colombia.
And why? Because, as Venezuelans explain:
Did you know that Venezuela has the largest proven oil reserves in the world? These people should be rich. The reason they are refugees is that their government stole all the nation’s wealth.
How ironic that Indian liberals should go to the government of Venezuela to complain about the Indian government supposedly spending too much on a statue.
But it tells you something. Something that is deep and scary about the Indian liberal. The Indian liberal hates India so much that will go shake hands with the most corrupt dictators in Latin America as long as they are ready to sponsor anti-Indian propaganda.
They called Sardar Patel a “right-wing bigot”. Imagine how they talk about us to the rest of the world behind our backs. This Telesur video was just a glimpse. How much more damage are they doing?
