Another twisted tactic after the ‘audio tape’ fiasco: Congress claims Parrikar’s life in danger because of the ‘Rafale files’

Resorting to cheap conspiracy theory, Congress first tried to float a doctored tape, when that failed miserably, they have now floated another plot from b-grade movies.

On January 2, Congress party shared an alleged tape between Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and unknown journalist and claimed that Manohar Parikkar is blackmailing Centre government, on Rafael issue. However, the tape was rubbished both by Minister Rane and CM Parrikar. Even, Congress party president Rahul Gandhi did not authenticate the tape in parliament.

Now, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) has written to President Kovind, requesting ‘enhanced’ security for the ailing CM Parikar. In the letter, GPCC has said that there can be attempts on CM’s life, in order to obtain the files related to Rafael deal that is allegedly in his possession. It also adds that there are certain elements which don’t want to bring the files into the public domain so as not to expose the corruption.

”Congress party apprehends that attempts on the life of Goa CM may be made to obtain the files from those who want actual truth of Rafale jet deal” The letter states.

In the doctored tape, Congress had portrayed that a voice, which they insisted was Goa minister Rane’s is saying the ailing CM has the ‘Rafale files’ in his bedroom and he has been ‘holding’ them ‘the central government’ to ransom all this time.

However, with the fresh conspiracy theory that there might be a threat to the Goa CM’s life, Congress seems to have negated its own claim because if the Goa CM has been ‘holding the government to ransom’ all this while, how can his life be in danger now, all of a sudden?

Also, they expect the masses to believe that a government to government contract between two powerful nations has some ‘dirty secrets’ in some hypothetical ‘files’, which a former defence minister, who himself was involved in negotiations and finalising of the said deal, has been ‘hiding in his bedroom’ since 22 months. Clearly, the Congress leader who came up with the idea needs to upgrade the level of movies he/she is watching currently.

After the supreme court’s dismissal of the petitions against Rafale deal stating there has been no corruption with FM Arun Jaitley and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman demolishing the repeated rants of Congress, it now seems the party in its desperation to cry scandal over non-issues, has now resorted to cheap conspiracy theories.

Goa CM Manohar Parrikar is suffering from pancreatic cancer and has continued working amidst his treatment. The Congress so far has been carrying out an utterly shameful and horribly insensitive attack regarding the CM’s ailment. Recently, Congress leader Jaipal Reddy had commented that Parrikar is ‘sticking to his chair like a leech.’

Before that, state Congress spokesperson Jitendra Deshprabhu had demanded that the BJP should either ‘show’ Parrikar is alive or they should conduct his ‘Shradh’ (death rituals).

The Goa government had earlier clarified that the CM is working efficiently and there are no files pending at the CM’s office. Despite the fact, the sheer insensitivity of Congress leadership in constantly attacking an ailing man fighting cancer and inventing cheap theories to further malign him is one of the worst examples of evil politics Congress has played in its tainted history.
