Though the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee pulled every trick up her sleeve to stop Yogi Adityanath from entering West Bengal, all her attempts went in vain as the UP CM dodged all the impediments and finally arrived at Purulia, West Bengal on road from Bokaro to address a rally. Attacking Mamata Banerjee, Yogi Adityanath said that nothing can be more shameful for a democracy than a Chief minister staging a ‘Dharna’.

Speaking to a sea of a crowd gathered to listen to the UP CM, Yogi Adityanath asserted that the TMC regime in West Bengal is undemocratic and corrupt. In an apparent dig at CM Mamata, Yogi asserted that Mamata Banerjee, who was trying to save a ‘corrupt officer’, took a U-turn soon after the SC verdict. Calling Mamata an ‘anarchist’, Yogi alleged that she has no right to remain in power in West Bengal. He highlighted the pervasive violence in West Bengal and urged the people to vote TMC out and bring in BJP, citing the peaceful atmosphere after BJP’s ascension to power in UP.

Talking about the violence inflicted by TMC goons, Yogi Adityanath declared that once BJP forms its government in West Bengal, all the ‘TMC goons’ will voluntarily come out on streets holding placards reading that they were criminals just like the criminals of SP and BSP have been reduced to in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He also warned that there are ‘several skeletons’ in the TMC’s cupboard and once the BJP assumes power in West Bengal, all of them will start tumbling out.
Yogi further contended that Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government has allowed Muharram processions but permissions for conducting Durga Puja were not granted. The High court had to intervene and take the WB government to task for providing one festival precedence over the other.
Extolling West Bengal for contributing to India’s freedom struggle and providing India’s National Anthem and National Song, Yogi exhorted the people of the state to vote for the BJP. Hailing West Bengal as Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s home-state, he called upon the people to elect BJP and boot out the TMC which is brazenly trampling upon the rich tradition of Bengal.
