Launching a fierce attack on Pakistan for its role in the cowardly attacks in Pulwama yesterday, PM Modi slammed the failed nation for its continued assistance to terrorism and using it as a state policy. PM Modi expressed his anguish over the loss of lives of 40 CRPF personnel in the ghastly attack carried out by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad.

”Pakistan is reeling under a severe economic crisis and even when it is roaming around the world with a begging bowl to seek economic assistance, it is finding it difficult because the world has realised that Pakistan uses terrorism as a state policy and nurtures them. This is why the world is isolating them,” Modi said. Modi also said that India has embraced the path of development and the countries across the world want to be associated with India’s remarkable growth.
Modi also declared that the Indian Armed Forces have been given full freedom to avenge the attack and the sacrifice laid down by brave soldiers will not go in vain. “Every loss of life will be accounted for and Pakistan will have to pay a huge price for this,” he declared emphatically. He asserted that the Indian Armed Forces are prepared to exact revenge at the place and time of their choice. “I want to assure you from the land of valour, from Jhansi, that the sacrifices of the soldiers will not go in vain,” Modi said.
Invoking Jhansi ki Rani- Manikarnika’s valour, PM Modi said that the land of Jhansi has inspired Indians to protect one’s homeland just like Manikarnika invigorated the spirit of independence among Indians in the revolt of 1857. Associating himself with Manikarnika, Modi said he is fortunate to serve Varanasi, which is the birthplace of Rani Laxmi Bai.
Modi laid foundation stones for a variety of developmental projects worth Rs 20,000 crore in Jhansi. Speaking about the Rs 9,000 crores Pipeline project, he asserted that the project will provide liberation from the water crisis not just to the residents of Jhansi but also to a large number of people living in the adjoining villages. He claimed, “this will not just be a mere Pipeline project, it will be the Lifeline of the Bundelkhand region.”

Modi also drew upon his government’s focus on people involved in Animal husbandry and fishing. He asserted that through this year’s budget his government has ensured that these sections of the society, which were hitherto ignored also benefit from the government initiatives. Kamdhenu Yojana has been earmarked with Rs 500 crores corpus to protect cows from the rampant cow-smuggling prevalent in the region. Modi also called upon the attention of the people towards government’s farmer-friendly policies such as providing Rs 6000 per year to small farmers and increasing the unsecured loan ceiling to Rs 1,60,000 which was earlier Rs 1,00,000.
Talking about the range of new employment opportunities set to come for the youth in Bundelkhand, Modi declared that the defence corridor envisaged between Agra and Jhansi will not only fortify our combat readiness but also provide a host of opportunities for the people in Bundelkhand. He further added that the companies setting up defence industries will undertake the responsibility of imparting skill among the youth of the region.
