As the Congress party continues echoing Pakistan in claiming that the Indian airstrikes in Pakistan did not hit any terror camp and demands proof of the strike, now comments made by Congress leaders are being used by Pakistan in spreading their propaganda.
Yesterday, Congress leader Manish Tewari had read out a resolution on Kashmir passed in the 46th session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers Meet. India was invited as a special guest in this meet. Pakistan had got the resolution passed in the OIC, which had condemned the ‘recent wave of Indian Terrorism in occupied Jammu and Kashmir’. Manish Tewari had attacked the Modi government for this resolution, saying it is a diplomatic failure of the government. He had said that the Indian government has got India declared as a terrorist state at the OIC.

The comment of the Congress leader was immediately lapped up by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, the ruling party of Pakistan. The official Twitter handle of the party posted the video of Tewari’s press conference, and quoted that following the OIC resolution, Indian opposition parties have started questioning ‘warmonger Modi’. They also quoted Manish Tewari asking “can we not take care of the people of Kashmir”, which he had said referring to OIC asking member states to contribute humanitarian aid to Kashmiris in the resolution.
Earlier, Pakistan had used Indian media reports in its favour, now they have found that the comments of the largest opposition party of India echo their views. In an effort to attack the Modi government, Congress party spread Pakistani propaganda on Indian soil, that to without waiting for the conclusion of the OIC meet. Because in the final Abu Dhabi Declaration adopted after the 46th session of OIC, there was no mention of Kashmir. Although Pakistan was successful in getting the resolution passed, it failed in getting that included in the final declaration, due to the strong protest of India.
It can be noted that India is not a member of OIC, it was only invited as a special guest this year, and therefore India could not do anything when Pakistan tabled the resolution during the OIC session. But after it was made public, India issued a strong protest against the resolution, and therefore it was not included in the final Abu Dhabi Declaration. This has been seen as a huge diplomatic victory for India. But the Congress party was so excited to see an anti-India resolution that they didn’t bother to wait for the final declaration. Because for them, every anti-India step is nothing but just an opportunity to attack the Modi government.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders continue to repeat the Pakistani claim that Indian airstrike didn’t hit any terror camp and the bomb fell in a forest area. After Several Congress leaders demanding proof of the strike, pro-Pakistan Congress leader and Punjab minister Navjot Sing Sidhu echoed the Pakistani line and questioned Indian Air Force whether they were targeting terror camps or trees.

The Indian Air Force has reiterated that the operation against terror camps in Pakistan was successful, with Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa categorically stating IAF has successfully hit the target that was intended to be hit. He had said that “If we plan to hit the target, we hit the target, otherwise, why would he (Pakistan PM) have responded, if we dropped bombs in the jungles why would he respond.”
But for the Congress leaders, Pakistani version is more credible than the version of Indian defence forces. No wonder Pakistan finds their comments suitable for their propaganda, and uses the Comments of Indian political leaders to attack India.
