Intelligence reports now have revealed that terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed had held a conference meeting in Okara district of Pakistan on 27 November 2017. In the meeting. it was decided that the group will resolve to execute the ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind, a doctrine aimed at the conquest of India.
The concepts of Ghazwa-e-hind root from several works of Islamic literature named Hadiths. The doctrine predicts onslaught upon citizens of India by Islamist forces and its take over by them. The doctrines are widely used by radical organisations to indoctrinate Muslim youth into terrorism by asserting that conquering the lands of ‘non-believers’ is their holy duty.
Around 2000 people had reportedly attended this terror meet, in which participants had raised slogans in praise of JeM and its chief Masood Azar. JeM leaders Abdul Rauf Asghar, in the meeting had made it clear that JeM’s mission of ‘Jihad’ will not cease to exist even if India-Pakistan relations improve. He also had asserted that there are many youths who want to participate in the cause, and are also ready to give up their life for this.
The intelligence report also claims that another-six day meeting of JeM had taken place in February 2018. During this, 13 interaction sessions by ‘Shoba-e-Taaruf’ or Department of Introduction were conducted. In this, 700 people including 65 Islamic Ulemas also attended the event.
The intelligence report further claimed that under the ‘Afzal Guru Shaheed Squad’, JeM had carried the attack on J&K’s Indian Army’s Sunjwan camp in February 2018. It was cited as a ‘revenge operation’.
The report furthers that during a four-day visit to Sialkot district in Match 2018, the Shoba-e-Taaruf delegation of JeM organized 17 sessions, which was attended by 1500 people and 50 Ulemas. The delegation comprised of Mujahid Abbas, Rashid Mushtaq, and Abid Mehmood.
It also recruited 22 people for a training course and 91 people for Daura-e Tafseer or Raining on Jihad and Quran. The participants there promised to adhere to the schedule laid down by the group and Ulemas also said that they were happy with the schedule set by chief Massad Azhar. They hailed Azhar’s religious services prayed for JeM’s Mujahideen.
Jaish-e-Mohammed is the same terrorist organisation which executed the horrifying Pulwama attack, last month, which left 40 CRPF jawans dead. Following this Indian government in the wee hours of 26th February, launched air strikes on terror camps of JeM based in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir and Pakistan. It also killed many operatives of JeM, delivering a big blow.
India is also taking tough diplomatic measures with other countries, to designate Masood Azar an International Terrorist. Pakistan, now even admits that Masood Azhar currently resides in their country.
