Vinod Dua’s daughter, Mallika Dua’s convenient feminism reached a new low when she indulged in victim shaming of the lady who had accused her own father, fake news peddler masquerading as a journalist Vinod Dua of stalking and molestation.
Hey @sonamohapatra , missing your toxic activism regarding the suicide of Arghya Basu. Accused of harassment by your bff Nishtha Jain last year. Your two bits are conveniently missing. Please oblige in your characteristic uncouth style.

In a tweet on March 24, Mallika tweeted to singer Sona Mohapatra, who has also been very vocal about sexual harassment in the film industry, questioning her ‘silence’ over documentary filmmaker Arghya Basu’s suicide earlier this month. In 2017, Arghya was accused of sexual harassment by a filmmaker, Nishtha Jain who was his former batchmate. Jain had accused Basu of molesting her when they were both studying, but since Basu had now become a faculty, she had put his name in Raya Sarkar’s ‘cautionary list‘ which called out sexual offenders amongst professors.
Jain is the same lady who had accused Vinod Dua of stalking and molesting her in October last year. Mallika Dua immediately swung into action to get back on Sona Mohapatra, who in past has called her out for defending her father and question the victim when she has otherwise claimed she stands by the victims. Earlier, too, Mohapatra had called out Mallika for staunchly supporting her father and referring to those who accused him of harassment as ‘opportunists’.
& this is where you’ve missed the critical part of this issue. Mallika Dua isn’t ‘silent’. She is staunchly & very vocal in supporting her dad & is even referring to the survivors who called him out as ‘opportunists’ apart from cursing & blocking others who call out her hypocrisy

Reacting to this, Mohapatra clarified that she did not know Basu but she had heard from common friends that he was perhaps battling alcoholism. She quipped whether Mohapatra was dragged into this mudslinging because the lady who had accused Basu had also accused her father and perhaps this was Mallika’s way of defending her father.
Yes I had to unblock you Sona because like I mentioned I was missing your half-assed activism very much. You and that Technicolor haired big boss freak show friend of yours ?. “Many people I know” told me otherwise about Arghya Basu. But sadly. that doesn’t further your agenda.

Mohapatra was also surprised that Mallika had ‘unblocked’ her on Twitter so she could taunt her and victim-shame Jain, who had accused her father of molestation. To this, Mallika trivialised it by accusing Mohapatra of having an agenda. When Mohapatra confronted Mallika Dua of her duality and hypocritical stand on sexual harassment cases, especially when one of the accused was her own father, Dua accused Sona of being a ‘toxic garbage’.
Hey wife of Ram sampath, A solo woman headliner of toxic garbage on Twitter who believes an unsubstantiated Facebook post (smashed to the ground with a 40 page rebuttal from our side btw) is proof enough for execution. Your brain and tongue need a check Sona. Zee would agree.
— Mallika Dua (@MallikaDua) March 24, 2019
Mallika even tried to insinuate that Sona Mohapatra has lesser work because of her stand on the #MeToo movement. Which, as a feminist and a champion of women’s rights is a shocking thing to gloat about.
After this shoddy behaviour, Mallika blocked Sona again and then accused her of bullying.
Sona Mohapatra is clearly too rusty to know the difference between deleted tweets and unavailable tweets (from people who’ve BLOCKED your toxic presence) but I don’t blame her. She’s so busy accumulating and distributing venom to throw at women who dare question her bullying ways
— Mallika Dua (@MallikaDua) March 24, 2019
This after it was Mallika who had ‘unblocked’ Sona, tweeted to her, called her names for siding with the lady who accused her father of sexual harassment. Mallika, after blocking Sona, proceeded to stalk Sona Mohapatra online and continued commenting on her tweets.
You blocked her. Then unblocked her. Sent her tweets questioning her and blocked her again before she could reply.
What is wrong with you?

sis just stop already

Clearly, Dua was hopping mad with rage when people questioned her meltdown.
No my fans did. Do you have any?
— Mallika Dua (@MallikaDua) March 24, 2019
This isn’t the first time Mallika Dua has shown double standards. Earlier, while defending her father, she had said that she stands by her father, Vinod Dua, and also supports the #MeToo movement. More recently, Mallika Dua was found making insensitive remarks over the Pulwama terror attack. “People die every day, do we keep mourning about them? This is bulls*&*,” she had said.
