Putting an end to speculations of Akshay Kumar joining active politics, the actor took to Twitter to clarify that his cryptic tweet of getting into an ‘unknown and uncharted territory’ is not a hint on contesting elections.
Earlier today, the versatile actor had tweeted that he is going to do something he has never done before.
Getting into an unknown and uncharted territory today. Doing something I have never done before. Excited and nervous both. Stay tuned for updates.

This tweet had fuelled speculations that he may soon take the plunge and join active politics like his former co-star Urmila Matondkar who recently joined Congress.
He will Join BJP Today.

However, putting all the speculations to rest, Akshay Kumar later clarified that whatever the ‘unknown and uncharted’ territory might be, it is definitely not politics.
Grateful for all the interest shown in my previous tweet but just clarifying in light of some wild speculation, I am not contesting elections.

Well, at least not contesting the current Lok Sabha elections.
