Vellappally requested the CEO to review the acceptance of Gandhi’s nomination in Wayanad to check for its validity and reject the application.
Thushar Vellappally is the president of Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS), which is part of NDA. On April 1st, BJP president Amit Shah had announced on Twitter that Vellappally will be NDA candidate from Wayanad.
Following the objections raised by an independent candidate from Amethi, Dhruv Lal, the scrutiny of Gandhi’s nomination papers was postponed to April 22 as Gandhi’s lawyer sought time from the Returning Officer of Amethi to counter the objections.
