A day before he files his nomination for the ongoing elections from Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a grand ‘saffron’ welcome in the temple city. A sea of people has assembled along the 6-km route for his mega roadshow. PM Modi headed straight to BHU from Banda, after addressing an election rally in the city.
The roadshow is all set to end at Dashashwamedh ghat and preparations are in full swing to ready it for the PM’s arrival. He is set to participate in the famous ‘Ganga aarti’ at the ghat to conclude his massive road show.
At BHU, Modi garlanded the statue of Madan Mohan Malviya outside the main entrance of the university to kick start his roadshow.
People across ages have converged on the streets to welcome their beloved leader.
The entire city has been ‘Modified’ this evening with chants of ‘Modi, Modi,’ reverberating all along.
The Dashashwamegh Ghat in Varanasi was decorated for the Ganga Aarti the PM participated in.
