In a horrific case of Love Jihad, two Hindu girls, including a minor have been forcibly converted to Islam and then married off to Muslim men in Kolkata, reported MyNation.
According to the report, the father of the girls had alleged in his complaint that Muslim youths had been pursuing various girls in his locality including his daughters. The accused Muslim youth had then threatened to kill the girls and their family, to forcing them to accept Islam and get married, said the victim’s father.
Subsequently, the two daughters went missing on 11th of March and the father of the victims had lodged a complaint the very next day. Since then, the father of the victim has been trying hard since then to get justice. He also lodged a second complaint on the 31st of March.
Reportedly, the minor girl was rescued after the police took action on the complaint however they could not trace the elder daughter. The father said that minor girl, who returned home narrated her ordeal. The minor girl had claimed that she and her sister were threatened and forced to marry the accused who promised to kill their parents and brother if they didn’t cooperate. They were also threatened with an acid attack.
“Taking advantage of her tender age, the aforesaid accused person and his friends threatened both my daughters that they would kill her family members including me, my wife and my son and literally forced her to marry him after converting into Islam. On being refused, the same kind of threat continued,” said father as quoted by MyNation.
The father of the victim claims that the minor daughter was married off at a Badi Masjid in Kolkata’s Burra Bazar area, after passing her off as an adult in the Muslim marriage registrar.
Shockingly, the father has also accused Kolkata police of not registering an FIR or conducting medical tests on the minor daughter to determine whether she was also subjected to sexual assault.
Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women has taken suo moto cognisance of the matter and has urged the Bengal director general of police to take “strict and immediate action”. In a letter to the DGP, the NCW wrote that it has “taken a serious note of the report that despite having lodged a second complaint on March 31, 2019, the police are yet to file an FIR.”
Recently, similar to the Kolkata incident, two Hindu girls were taken away and were forcibly converted to Islam followed by a nikah in Pakistan. The two girls, Raveena (13) and Reena (15), both minor were kidnapped by Muslims from their home in Ghotki district in Sindh on the eve of Holi.
Unfortunately, such incidents seem to be rampant in India too. There have been many cases where Muslim men fake their identity as Hindus to approach Hindu girls. Last year in West Bengal, a woman named Subhologna Chakraborty was shot dead by a Muslim man after she refused to marry him discovering his Muslim identity.
