Sagarika Ghose, as we have already said, is a cautionary tale. She has gone on to admit that she is a Nehru fan-girl and now she is back rooting for his great-granddaughter, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
While she has earlier blamed former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri’s death for ‘dynasty politics’, today she went a step ahead to find ‘Brahmin’ voters for Priyanka Gandhi who is not even contesting the current elections.
Brahmin youths Ashutosh Mishra Ram Prasad Tiwari and Abhishek Pandey tell me they haven’t got salaries and will vote for Priyanka Gandhi! #Assighat pic.twitter.com/dXfXuizpyL

As seen above, while visiting Assi Ghat in Varanasi, where Prime Minister Modi is contesting the elections for his second term in the Lok Sabha, Ghose, who identifies herself as a ‘liberal’ met a bunch of young people, she chose to identify as ‘Brahmins’. These young Brahmins are already voting for Priyanka Gandhi even though she is not contesting elections. The Brahmin youths, as identified as Ghose will vote for Priyanka despite not having received their salaries.
Curious minds want to know:
- If Priyanka Gandhi is not contesting the elections, how will they vote for Priyanka Gandhi?
- Since the only description about these youths is their caste identity and that they are not paid their salaries, are they paid salaries for being Brahmins? If so, what is the procedure to apply for a job there?
