In what could signal fresh trouble for Congress president Rahul Gandhi, a Mumbai-based activist has filed a complaint against him for his tweet on International Day of Yoga where he ended up insulting the Indian Army’s canine unit.
The complaint has been filed by one Atal Bihari Dubey who is practising as an advocate in Bombay High Court and other courts in Mumbai. The complaint says that Rahul Gandhi has indulged in ‘public mischief with the intention to disrespect the Indian Army as well as International Yoga Day’.
The Tweet of Rahul Gandhi that Dubey has referred to in his complaint is one where Rahul Gandhi had tweeted two pictures of the Indian Army’s canine unit doing yoga along with their instructors. The tweet was captioned by Rahul Gandhi as ‘New India’.
