Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account was hacked on Monday night by pro-Pakistani Turkish hacker group Ayyildiz Tim, reports ANI.
Reportedly, the hacker group replaced Bachchan’s profile picture with a photo of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and also changed the bio, adding “Love Pakistan” and an emoji of the Turkish flag. The account has now been recovered.
Ayyildiz Tim also tweeted multiple messages, including an anti-India post, from Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account. “This is an important call to the whole world! We do condemn the irrespective behaviours of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers. We speak softly but carry a big stick and inform you about the big Cyber attack here. As Ayyıldız Tim Turkish Cyber Armny +++”.
The second post read, “The Indian State, who mercilessly attacks the Muslims fasting in the month of Ramadan, is attacking the Ummah Muhammad in this age! Indian Muslims are entrusted to us by Abdulhamid”.
In another tweeted the hacker posted a messaging saying ‘Love Pakistan’ with an image of Pakistani PM Imran Khan.
Following the cyber attack, Mumbai Police PRO said, “We have informed our cyber unit and Maharashtra Cyber about the hacked Twitter account of Amitabh Bachchan. They are investigating the matter.”
Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account was restored around 12:20 am on Tuesday.
