In an unprecedented move, the newly elected Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has announced that his government will have as many as five deputy chief ministers. This will first time such a large number of Deputy CMs will be there in a state government.
The new Andhra CM announced this at a legislative party meeting held in Amaravati on Friday. He said that a 25 member cabinet will take oath on Saturday, which will include 5 Deputy chief ministers. There will be one deputy CM each from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class, Minority and Kapu Communities. This was also informed by YSRC MLA Mohammed Mustafa Shaik.

After a massive victory of the YSR Congress in the assembly elections that were held along with Lok Sabha elections, Jaganmohan Reddy was sworn in as the CM of the state on 30th May. Now the rest of ministers in his ministry will be sworn in on 8th May.
The Andhra CM also said that the ministry will be reshuffled after two and half years. The performance of the ministers will be reviewed after 30 months, and about 90% of them will be replaced.
