Abusive troll masquerading as a journalist Swati Chaturvedi recently sent OpIndia a defamation notice accusing us of having cost her readership because of our articles where we exposed her shoddy journalism on multiple occasions. However, even though she wants to put the blame on us, we can’t possibly be held responsible if her peers doubt her ‘credibility’.
Her own track record of bizarre stories (like the one where she claimed Leonardo DiCaprio was going to attend an RSS event) is enough to make anyone question her shoddy journalism. Meanwhile, Twitter users also dug out her long-forgotten stories where she had made equally bizarre claims.
Abusive Troll Bainjal says she’s ‘journalist of high repute, standing and eminence’ and demands Rs 50 Lakh for damaging her image.

As can be seen above, during the run-up to the Uttar Pradesh state assembly elections, Chaturvedi was busy writing essays on how the BJP may lose. The BJP won the state assembly elections with a massive mandate and a historic landslide winning 312 out of 403 seats.
Some of the other gems by Chaturvedi are as follows:
This article was published on 24th July 2017. Less than 48 hours of Chaturvedi making these predictions, Nitish Kumar resigned as Bihar Chief Minister and staked claim to form government again by forming an alliance with the BJP.
Swati’s ‘reliable sources’ had told her how Varun Gandhi would be the trump card Congress would play to bring PM Modi and Amit Shah on their knees. Two years later, Varun Gandhi continues to be a BJP MP, winning the recently concluded elections from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh.
Weeks before the country voted Swati was of the opinion that Priyanka Gandhi, along with Mayawati and Mamata is a formidable force, challenging the might Modi-Shah duo.
Suddenly the strong woman challenging patriarchy was a ‘dud’ for Swati.
Swati along with Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s trusted lieutenant Praveen Chakravarty, who is accused of feeding Rahul Gandhi with wrong inputs surrounding the hype on Rafale as election point, believed that shouting that Rafale deal is a scam is a brilliant strategic move.
OpIndia on its part has rejected all the charges made by Swati against OpIndia. Such intimidatory tactics wouldn’t work.
