Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has mostly been silent and out of the political scene post the 2019 Election debacle where Congress was decimated and PM Modi led BJP bettered their 2014 score to bag 303 Lok Sabha seats. She resurfaced on Twitter today to fear monger about the law and order situation in Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh only to get a fitting response by the official Twitter handle of UP Police.
Sharing a collage of crime news clips from Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took to Twitter today to claim that in the state of Uttar Pradesh, criminals are roaming freely and doing as they please. One after the others, news of crimes have come to the fore from the state but the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh in unfazed. She questioned the Yogi Adityanath government that whether the UP government has surrendered in front of the criminals.

Not taking kindly to this allegation by the Gandhi family scion, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Uttar Pradesh Police too took to Twitter to counter the allegations.
Responding to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, UP police put out a set of two tweets countering her charges.

The UP police said that in the past two years, 9225 criminals have been arrested and 81 such serious criminals have been shot dead during encounters. The police then said that under the National Security Act, Rs 200 crores worth of property has been seized by the UP Police and all other crimes like murder, dacoity, loot etc have seen a downfall.
The UP police then went on to say that because of prompt action by the police, the crime rate in Uttar Pradesh has fallen by 20% to 35%. In fact, they also said that all high profile cases have been acted upon within 48 hours and influential criminals have been bought to book.
