Dhinchak Pooja’s new song is called “Pagal ho ke naacho, Naach ke pagal ho jao’. Its groovy lyrics, brilliant background scores and Pooja’s dance moves with two unknown background dancers have got the entire social media talking, analysing, criticising and obsessing over Pooja like she is the next Congress president.

Pooja is so popular that she has also got sponsorship for her new music video. The song opens with Pooja grooving with two of her lady friends. The ladies are probably unaccustomed to the local weather of the location where Pooja has shot the video because Pooja is dressed for the winter while her dancing companions are clearly ready for the gym on a hot summer day.

Pooja’s song is full of deep philosophy and serious advice for the general public. The lyrics ask viewers to dance like mad and go mad dancing. The people in the video also seem to follow her advise as they have dived into a pool that clearly displays a ‘no diving’ sign.
She is also promoting entrepreneurship in her video. Pooja says, “Paan ki dukan kholo, sabko choona lagao.”

Pooja should be hailed for her deeply inspirational video that promotes stress-busting and relaxation techniques. This is not the first time that Pooja has showed her dedication for the problems of the society and common Indians. In another song, Pooja laments over the problems faced by every single young person in the country. The lyrics are

Pooja is revolutionary. She has also stood up against toxic patriarchy when she exposed her father’s reluctance to give her cash in one of her previous songs. She has also demonstrated her love for two-wheelers when the entire world is going gaga over cars. She called her scooter as ‘Dilon ka shooter’.
Pooja should be the ultimate feminist icon. She is independent, creative and she refuses to be suppressed by the society’s set standards of melody and tune. Pooja’s music is as revolutionary as Mamata Banerjee’s paintings and Tej Pratap Yadav’s get-ups. We salute Dhinchak Pooja for her timeless, tuneless, terrific musical talent.
