Rifleman Aurangzeb, who had planned to celebrate the festival of Eid with his family in June last year in Poonch, had been travelling in a car of a civilian to catch a bus from Pulwama bus stand. The terrorists intercepted the car a few kilometres before the bus stand, kidnapped Aurangzeb and killed him. A massive search operation was launched to locate the whereabouts of the abducted rifleman. However, his body was found 10 KMs away from the abduction site, at Kalapora, in Pulwama district, riddled with bullets in his neck and head.
