A tweet by the official Twitter handle of the Congress party has raised a very unusual question, do they consider India to be their own nation?
The tweet in question is a congratulatory message to P V Sindhu, who created history today by becoming the first India to win the BWF World Championships gold medal. The new world badminton champion won the title by defeating Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in the 2019 BWF World Championships held in Basel, Switzerland.
Congratulations to @Pvsindhu1 on becoming the first Indian to win the BWF World Championships gold medal. You have made your nation proud. pic.twitter.com/2ceC4Qwxs2

While congratulating PV Sindhu for her achievement, Congress party tweeted, ‘You have made your nation proud’, which prompted many to wonder whether Congress does not consider PV Sindhu’s country to be theirs also.
Congress party was immediately questioned by alert social media users for saying ‘your nation’ instead of ‘our nation’. People wondered if Congress does not think PV Sindhu has not made their nation proud, which nation actually they belong to.
Which Nation you belong to?

“Your” nation…. Hmmmmm
You have been caught red-handed again.
No wonder congress never considered India as it’s nation, but just a source of income.— Milind Date (@milinddate0) August 25, 2019
So now it’s official , Congress doesn’t regard India as it’s country .

Many people on Twitter speculated that the Congress party considers either Pakistan or Italy as their nation, not India.
You belongs to Italy and Pakistan and that is why you said your Nation!! Yes, she made us proud and we have respect for her #PVSindhu @Pvsindhu1

“You have made your nation proud.”
it could have been..
You have made “our” nation proud.
Why Congress always says..
Your PM..
Your Decision..
Your Nation..why not..
Our PM
Our Nation ?That really makes a difference in people’s mind..!!

This faux-pass by the Congress party comes at the time when the party is seen on the same side as Pakistan on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Both Congress and Pakistan have opposed the abrogation of Article 370, and Pakistani media and politicians are regularly using comments made by Congress leaders to attack India on the issue.
