According to the Border Security Force(BSF) report, Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad(JeM) is imparting training to Rohingya Muslims to carry out attacks in different parts of India. The report states that a JeM commander, Saber Ahmed, who is currently in Pakistan, is targetting disgruntled Rohingya Muslims in Bangladesh’s Cox Bazar and indoctrinating them to carry out terror attacks in India.
The sources as quoted by Zee News claim that a terrorist named Maulana Yusuf, a member of the Bangladesh unit of JeM had provided training to carry out terror attacks to 4 Rohingya youths. The Cox Bazar of Bangladesh, where thousands of Rohingya Muslims are sheltered as of now, provides a fertile ground for the JeM to recruit youths and brainwash them into waging jihad against India. Reportedly, a terror camp for providing training to Rohingya Muslims has been set up in Harinmara hills in Bangladesh. Sleeper cells have been activated in Bangladesh to support JeM’s activities.
Intelligence reports have also suggested that Pakistan’s notorious intelligence agency-ISI have asked Pakistan based terror outfits to carry out a major attack on security personnel in India. JeM commander Abdul Rauf Asgar has been assigned the task of carrying out an attack on India’s defence and security personnel. The report says that Asgar along with 30-40 other terrorists are deployed at terror launch pads along the Line of Control(LoC) in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir(PoK).
Earlier this month, following India’s move to abrogate Article 370 and bifurcate the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories, there was an intelligence input from security agencies that Pakistan based terror outfits and ISI are planning to launch massive terror attacks in 7 states including the Kashmir Valley, similar to that of Pulwama attack in February 2019 in which JeM trained terrorist attacked and killed 40 CRPF personnel.
