More than 25 students from a college in Kerala were booked by the police for allegedly waving Pakistan’s flag. The incident of flag-waving took place on Thursday when the students belonging to Muslim Students Front (MSF) were carrying out a rally as part of the student union elections campaign inside Perambra Silver college campus in Kozhikode district.
This is not Pakistan.

As can be seen in the video, the college students waved a giant flag that resembled the flag of Pakistan in the college campus. The incident happened in the Perambara Silver College, Kozhikode. The student activists of MSF, in their defence, put forth a feeble defence that their flag appears like Pakistan’s flag when turned upside down and because of this, they claim a misunderstanding had happened.
The local police have filed a case against the students and booked them under relevant IPC sections 143, 147, 153 and 149. The police say that further proceedings will be carried out after verifying the identity of the students involved in the incident.
The BJP, on the other hand, has claimed that terrorists have taken control over the college and they are inciting anarchy and unrest in the state to fan discord among the people.
Of late, there have been several alarming reports of rampant Islamism being carried out in the southern state of Kerala. Some reports even suggest that the terrorists who carried out the gruesome attack in Srilanka which left 250 dead were trained in Kerala. Kerala has become a hotbed for Jihadi recruitment as many Keralites have been found to have been associated with the terror outfit ISIS.
