There have been numerous cases of rampant child abuse going on inside Madarsas. In another such incident, a teacher in a Madarsa in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar allegedly used the CCTV cameras in the Madarsa to watch girl students as they changed clothes.
As per reports, the incident has been reported in the Mustafa Darul Uloom Madarsa in the Barwan Chhatar Das village under Hata police station area. There was a cultural programme organised on the occasion of Independence Day in the Madarsa. The girl students participating in the programme were asked to change into their costumes inside a classroom.
A teacher in the Madarsa, named Suleman Ansari, allegedly switched on the CCTV camera inside the classroom to watch the girls changing their clothes. The girl students inside the classroom had no idea that they were being watched.
As per some media reports, a child saw Suleman Ansari watching the girls through CCTV and later told the girl students that they were being watched by their teacher. However, another report in Patrika.com stated that the teacher, Suleman Ansari had himself teased the girls some days later that he has seen them change.
Horrified, the girls confronted their teacher over the incident. Ansari then allegedly threatened the girls and told them that he will get them thrown out of the Madarsa if they complained to anyone.
Later, the girls approached their family members who came to the Madarsa to confront Suleiman. Instead of admitting his mistake and apologising for it, Suleman allegedly started fighting with the villagers. The villagers later approached the police over the incident.
Local police have registered an FIR under section 354 against Suleman Ansari and the Madarsa manager.
