Actor Swara Bhaskar yesterday shared her picture on Twitter on which a Twitter user passed an unsavoury remark saying “Ungli Karne me maza aa jaye”. Swara took umbrage at this tweet which was possibly in reference to her masturbation scene in the movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’ which sparked widespread controversy and was popularly known as “finger scene”.
This tweet was ‘liked’ by the BJP MP from Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency Lallu Singh following which Bhaskar posted a tweet condemning the act of the BJP MP. Bhaskar said that such actions show a deep social problem and demonstrate his mindset.
The BJP MP Lallu Singh said that his act of inadvertent error happened while he was scrolling through and expressed his apologies for the same. He further continued stating that his aim has never been to hurt the feelings of others and that Swara could obtain information on his personal and public life.

Swara attached a letter reminding Lallu Singh that he represents the people of “Maryada Purshuttam” Shri Ram’s Ayodhya and he should refrain from promoting such “rapist mentality” of people, which according to Indian cyber laws amount to online sexual harassment. Ayodhya, the birth place of Lord Ram falls under Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency.
Swara further bemoaned stating that Singh is of her father’s age and is a member of parliament of this country. “He should be an example of how chivalrous a man should be towards women and be an epitome of Ram Rajya’s sacraments, instead of encouraging hoodlums on social media,” Swara said.
