More details have emerged relating to the horrific murder of ex-Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari. It is now reported that one of the accused in the murder case had created a fake Facebook profile to befriend the Tiwari, who was brutally murdered on Friday.
According to the reports, the Gujarat Special Task Force (ATS) stated that a conspiracy was hatched to murder Kamlesh Tiwari and one of the accused, Ashfaq created a Facebook profile with the name ‘Rohit Solanki’ and befriended the deceased leader.
Ashfaq used this fake Facebook ID to have close conversations with Kamlesh Tiwari. Before the murder, Ashfaq had a conversation with Kamlesh Tiwari on the phone when he stated his wish to join the organisation. The meeting between Kamlesh Tiwari and Ashfaq was fixed after the conversation.
After fixing a meeting with Kamlesh Tiwari, Ashfaq reached the leader’s office and spoke with him for about half an hour. The accused then attacked the Hindu Samaj Party leader after sending Swarajjit Singh out to bring cigarettes.
Reportedly, Swarajjit Singh, servant to Kamlesh Tiwari had informed that the radical Islamists had spoken with Kamlesh Tiwari on the phone for about 10 minutes before visiting Kamlesh Tiwari.
The saffron-clad attackers had entered the Tiwari office in Khurshid Bagh area, carrying knives and ‘kattas’ in a box of sweets.
The three radical Islamists reportedly plotted the murder of Kamlesh Tiwari for over three months ago. A computer operator Rashid Ahmed Pathan, who returned from Dubai to Surat, motivated his brother Moinuddin Ahmed Pathan and his aide Ashfaq Hussain to go to Lucknow to assassinate Tiwari for allegedly making objectionable comments on the Prophet in 2015.
According to the police officials, Rashid Ahmed Pathan and two others – Maulana Mohsin Sheikh and Faizan were arrested by the Gujarat ATS from Surat on October 18 for murdering Kamlesh Tiwari. Faizan’s role is limited to being a side-kick who bought a box of sweets from a shop in Surat which the assailants used to hide their weapons in while visiting Tiwari. The box was also left behind at the crime scene, which aided the UP Police to take the help of the Gujarat ATS to nab the three other accused from Surat.
Tiwari, a former Hindu Mahasabha leader, was assassinated at his Lucknow office by one Ashfaq and one Moinuddin who are still absconding and on the run.
On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the kin of slain former Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari in Lucknow and assured them of justice. Following the meeting, Tiwari’s son Satyam Tiwari said that CM Yogi Adityanath has assured that the culprits will be brought to justice. The security of the family members will also be increased, he added.
