The Gujarat ATS has nabbed three suspects in the Kamlesh Tiwari murder case last night. As per reports, the Gujarat ATS had acted late last night over crucial information and had arrested three suspects from Surat.

As per media reports, the three suspects were brought to Ahmedabad. Aaj Tak has stated that the three persons arrested are named Shamim Pathan, Faizan Pathan and Mohsin Sheikh, Sheikh is a Maulvi by profession.

Sources have informed that there were at least five people involved in the conspiracy to murder former Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari. CCTV footage and other mobile network data are being scanned for more clues in the gruesome crime.

As per a report in Aaj Tak, the two persons involved in the murder have been identified as Fariduddin Pathan alias Moinuddin Sheikh. The other person is identified as Ashfaq Sheikh. They were seen in the CCTV footage. Both killers are on the run.

The two murderers had bought sweets from a shop in Surat and had concealed weapons in it when they went to meet Tiwari at his Khurshidbag Colony house.

Media reports have stated that UP police is in constant contact with Gujarat ATS and has been coordinating with the investigations and arrests.

It is notable here that the two terrorists arrested by Gujarat ATS in 2017 had allegedly made plans to kill Kamlesh Tiwari too. Ubaid Mirza and Kasim Stimberwala, who were nabbed for their ISIS links, had shown a video of Tiwari to two witnesses and had told that Tiwari has to be killed. Gujarat ATS had also mentioned it in their 2018 charge sheet against the duo.

The UP police are scheduled to hold a press conference at 11.15 to inform about the latest updates in the murder case.
