Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee, in a series of tweets on Wednesday, demanded a ‘strong investigation’ into the murder of labourers from her state in Kashmir to discover the ‘real truth’. She said that no political activities were going on in Kashmir and the law and order is the responsibility of the Central government, therefore, a ‘strong investigation’ is needed.

Mamata Banerjee also said that Sanjay Singh, ADG of South Bengal, has been deputed to learn the details from the authorities in Kashmir and elected representatives from her party have reached Murshidabad to meet the victims’ families.
Our party MPs and MLAs have reached Murshidabad to meet the family members of victims.

In a horrific terror attack, six labourers were shot dead by terrorists in Katrusu village of Kulgam in South Kashmir on Tuesday. All six persons were from West Bengal and were daily wage earners. Five persons died immediately in the attack, while one person was critically injured, and was rushed to Srinagar for treatment. The injured person was identified as Zahooruddin. Later, he succumbed to his injuries.
