‘There is a lot to learn from him’: Nikhil Kamath and Ranbir Kapoor heap praise on PM Modi, share stories about his personality and hardworking nature

"And I feel like privileged to have had seen him (PM Modi) in such close quarters," Nikhil Kamath told Ranbir Kapoor.

On Saturday (27th July), actor Ranbir Kapoor and Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath expressed their heartfelt admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During an episode of ‘People by WTF’, Nikhil Kamath narrated, “I feel like I have had the privilege of being around him at a couple of events. And I think people read into that. But like, I respect him. I admire him. I’ll give you a story.”

He highlighted how PM Modi worked non-stop during his visit to the United States while the entrepreneur was tired.

“Once we were in the US. There were 3-4 of us with him. One year back. And we were in Washington for 3-4 days. I went there on my own. But he (PM Modi) was there. And he would do a speaking session with us and other American businessmen at 8am in the morning. He would go give a speech somewhere at 11am. Then he would go sit in the vice president something at 1pm/ 2pm. He would do something else at 4pm. Something else at 7pm. Something else at 11pm,” he stated.

Nikhil Kamath emphasised, “I was out by 8 and 9 in the evening. I was like, okay, I’m tired. After 2 days, I’m feeling sick. He was then going to Egypt to do the same thing all over again. I think his energy at his age. There’s a lot to learn…There is definitely so much to learn from him. And I feel like privileged to have had seen him in such close quarters.”

During the episode of ‘People by WTF’, Ranbir Kapoor reminisced how he was awestruck by the charming personality of PM Modi.

“He’s a great orator. But I remember the moment that we were sitting and he walked in and he got this magnetic charm about himself. And he came and he sat down and he spoke to each person something so personal. My father was going through treatment at that time, so he’s asking how the treatment is going and what’s happening and all of that. He was talking to Alia about something else. Vicky Kaushal about something else,” the actor stated.

“Like everything was very personal. And that kind of effort, you see in great men. Yeah. When they put that effort. Yeah. He doesn’t need to.
Yeah. And there are many, many achievers who put in that effort. And that says a lot about that person,” he added.
