She is my possession, I will convert her to Islam and marry her: Dilshad Ali kidnaps Hindu girl in Uttar Pradesh, dares anyone to stop him

The information about the girl came to the fore after the perpetrator came to his village in Bareilly and openly announced that she was with him and he intended to forcibly change her religion

33-year-old Dilshad Ali of Bareilly used to work as a labourer at a brick kiln in Basti district where he trapped a Hindu girl from the Parasrampur police station area. He kidnapped her on the 6th of July while she was on her way to college and brought her to Bithri in the Bareilly district. Her parents started searching for their daughter in Basti and requested the authorities to find and bring her back while the accused publically declared that she was in his “possession” and dared others to challenge him. He even stated that he would convert her to Islam and wed her.

He also applied for approval of Nikah (Islamic wedding) in Bareilly SDM court. Meanwhile, Hindu organisations demanded action against him upon learning about the incident. They also contacted the girl’s family and Basti police who assured them that they were searching for her and further action into the matter was underway. According to media reports, Dilshad Ali, son of Nisar Ali, is a resident of Bithri village in Bareilly. He used to work as a labourer at a brick kiln which falls under the jurisdiction of the Parasrampur police station of ​​Basti district. The girl is from Tikkipur Khekdi and her parents are farmers.

According to the Basti police, a case regarding the girl’s disappearance has been registered and measures are being taken to ensure her prompt recovery. Himanshu Patel, leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the outfit’s other activists swung into action when they became aware of the instance and talked to the Basti authorities. He informed that a team of cops were going to Bareilly. He contacted the police personnel and asked for the immediate return of the girl.
