Jharkhand: Al-Qaeda linked terrorist module busted, 14 terrorists, including mastermind Ishtiaq arrested, were training in Rajasthan

This module of Al Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) was being operated by Ranchi resident Dr. Ishtiaq and he had expanded this module to Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

The head of the Al Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) module, exposed by Delhi Police’s Special Cell, NIA, Jharkhand ATS, and other security agencies is Dr. Ishtiaq, who works in a hospital in Ranchi. Ishtiaq was also training terrorists for attacks, out of which 6 terrorists have been caught training in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. So far, 8 terrorists have been arrested from different parts of Jharkhand and one terrorist has been arrested from UP. So far, 16 terrorists of this module have been arrested by the security forces.

Links of Al Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) terrorist Dr. Ishtiaq are also connected to the land scam that led to former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren’s arrest. According to ETV Bharat’s report, ED has summoned a person named Bablu Khan in this case. ED is now investigating whether the terrorist organization has been funded from the money earned from the land scam, since Bablu Khan is a relative of Afsar Khan and Talha Khan, who are in jail in the land scam.

At the same time, Dr. Ishtiaq has been associated with Bablu Khan’s hospital. Both of them are also family relatives. Along with this, Afsar Ali and Talha Khan are charge-sheeted in the army land scam and the land scam related to Hemant Soren. In such a situation, ED has also turned its investigation towards terrorism funding. Now by interrogating Bablu Khan, ED and other agencies will find out whether the money from the land scam was used to fund terrorist activities.

Dr. Ishtiaq had prepared for Khilafat

This module of Al Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) was being operated by Ranchi resident Dr. Ishtiaq and he had expanded this module to Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Ishtiaq was working in Ranchi’s prestigious Medical Hospital. However, after the action of ATS, on August 22 itself, the management of the institute terminated the services of Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed.

Eight people of this module have been arrested from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. There is also information about recovery of many weapons including AK-47 from the arrested terrorists. Jharkhand IG Operations Amol Homkar said that the eight arrested people are being questioned. Doctor Ishtiaq was planning to declare Khilafat in the country and carry out many terrorist attacks.

On the input received from the Special Cell of Delhi Police, Jharkhand ATS arrested Doctor Ishtiaq by raiding Al Hasan Residency in Bariatu Joda Talab, Ranchi, after which his laptop and mobile phone were examined. After finding many suspicious things in the investigation, ATS detained him, where after interrogation, information about his activities in other cities including UP, Rajasthan was collected from him. Doctor Ishtiaq is being taken to Delhi on transit remand.

Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed was leading this module of Al Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent. He had also sent six suspects for training in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. All of them have been arrested by Rajasthan Police. Police have seized AK 47 rifle, .38 bore revolver and six live cartridges, 30 live cartridges of .32 bore, 30 cartridges of AK 47, dummy INSAS, air rifle, iron elbow pipe, hand grenade and other things from the spot. The notable thing is that the 6 terrorists arrested from Bhiwadi in Rajasthan are also from Jharkhand.

Dr. Ishtiaq is a radiologist by profession, who studied medicine from RIMS, Ranchi. He has worked full time at Medical Hospital for 3 years. Dr Ishtiaq also runs a clinic in Hazaribagh. He was trying to make India an Islamic country

Arrest of terrorists from Jharkhand

The Jharkhand ATS team had reached Henzla Kauwakhap village of Kudu in Lohardaga on Thursday (22nd August 2024) in search of Altaf alias Iltaf. Two weapons and several objectionable documents were recovered from his house. Along with this, the ATS team raided several places in Chanho area of ​​Ranchi. The ATS has detained Mohammad Modabbir of Balsokara of Chanho, Rizwan, Mufti Rahmatullah Majhiri of Chatwal, and Matiur Rahman of Pipratoli.

The ATS team simultaneously raided the houses of Enamul Ansari, Shahbaz Ansari and Shahbaz Ansari of Pakrio village apart from Balsokara, Chatwal, Pipratoli of Chanho. During the raid, Mohammad Modabbir, Mohammad Rizwan, Mufti, and Matiur Rahman were detained by the ATS from their homes and Mufti Rahmatullah from his madrasa. During the raid in Pakrio, Enamul Ansari and Shahbaz were not found at home. The family members said that Jeyarat Ansari’s son Shahbaz has gone to Delhi for the exam, while Shahbaz and Enamul Ansari have gone to Tablighi Jamaat.
