As per the report, Minister Shivraj Tangadagi was in Koppal on Monday, 26th August to launch welfare schemes. After the event, as he sat in his car moving towards his next scheduled destination, the residents began talking about bad roads in the village.

The villagers approached the Minister telling them how they were suffering from the bad roads. They further demanded good roads as is the right of any civilian. However, the Minister got furious and indicated to them that he had come to the district now for welfare schemes and that roads were not the topic to be discussed.

He also eventually hurled abuses at the villagers. Tangadagi is a member of the Indian National Congress and is currently serving as Cabinet Minister in the Karnataka Government. Earlier, he was the Minister for Minor Irrigation in the Siddaramaiah-led Karnataka Government. At present, the Minister is believed to be handling the Backward Classes’ Development and Cultural Development.
