In response to Israel's next-level warfare, Hezbollah changed its tactics. Cell phones, which may trace a user's location, have been prohibited on the battlefield instead more old-fashioned methods such as pagers and couriers are being used.
In a statement earlier on Tuesday, Hezbollah said that "pagers belonging to employees of various Hezbollah units and institutions exploded," killing two of its fighters and a girl. The group further said that it was investigating to determine the causes of the explosions.
On the condition of anonymity, a Hezbollah terrorist holding an official post in the terror organisation, said that the detonation of the pagers was the "biggest security breach" the group had been subjected to in nearly a year of war with Israel.
