Meerut Police slams journalist for casting aspersions on police for registering fake cases

Journalist Rahul Kanwal last night tweeted how in Yogi Adityanath’s Uttar Pradesh, ‘ground report’ from Western UP shows cases of gang rape registered against aged father of the man who was killed in alleged ‘fake encounter’. He said that the case is not isolated but a ‘pattern’ has emerged.

Kanwal further said that those who questioned the encounters, police filed rape cases against the relatives of the one killed.

However, he was called out by ADG Zone Meerut Police who asked Kanwal to check facts before tweeting.
